About

Brothers & Sisters began in 2002.  A prostate cancer patient's wife was diagnosed with breast cancer while they were travelling the country advocating for awareness, early detection, and better treatment options for men with prostate cancer.  Recognizing first hand the strong similarities in regard to risk factors, prevention, the need for screening, patient care needs, and survivorship issues, they decided to expand the way they discussed prostate cancer to be inclusive of both diseases.

In 2012, inspired by a colorectal cancer survivor who actively advocates for men who are at higher risk of developing prostate cancer, it was recognized that these similarities hold true for colorectal cancer as well.

It only made sense to join forces with fellow cancer survivors to expand our reach and save more lives!
